Register of Beneficial of Croatia
The register of beneficial owners was established in 2019. The register is maintained by the country's Financial regulator, the Financial Agency (FINA).
The Register stores information in electronic form about the final beneficiaries of all legal entities registered in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, as well as information about the final beneficial owners of trusts and equivalent structures established in accordance with foreign legislation.
Depending on the type of legal entity and the complexity of its ownership structure, the Register should include information about the ultimate beneficial owner, including, in particular, information about the nature and extent of the ultimate beneficial ownership.
Apostille of extracts from business register
Croatia acceded The Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents on 24 January 1965, as a part of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
Therefore, the documents issued in Croatia are subject to a simplified apostilling procedure, thus the documents gain full legal value in Convention member states after certified translation.
Apostilling usually takes about two weeks.
In addition, you can order certified translation from Croatian into a language of your choice.
