Commercial register of Slovakia (Obchodný register) is a state public information source that contains information about all legal entities, foreign companies, individual entrepreneurs, and partnerships registered in the country. The register is administered by the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic, and the records are kept by the district courts.
The business register of Slovakiawas created in 1992, and today it contains data starting from 1 January 2001. The register has been managed electronically since 2004.

Apostille for extracts from Slovakia
Slovakia acceded to the The Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents on 6 June 2001.
Therefore, the documents issued in Slovakia are subject to a simplified apostilling procedure, thus the documents gain full legal value in Convention member states after notarised translation.
